BACK TO SCHOOL SUNDAY IS AUG. 20
Our school community is gearing up for another academic year. We are blessed this year with increased enrollment and a very talented faculty and administration. As you know, our school is our largest ministry. The goal of a Catholic School is always to provide a quality education and to hand on the rich deposit of faith. We'll celebrate our students and faculty/administration on Sunday, Aug. 20. We encourage all kids in the parish to wear their school uniform, or their school's t-shirt. We don't want to forget our public school kids!
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION ENROLLMENT IS ONGOING
We have two options for families wanting to enroll their child in Religious Education. We will offer classes on Sunday mornings between the 9:30 a.m. Mass and the NOON Mass. We will also offer classes on Wednesday night. You must be a registered member of the parish to enroll in RE classes. Judi Wilkinson, our DRE, is usually available after Mass to help you enroll. Hurry before the classes fill up. Remember, we only have so much space and can only accommodate a certain number of kids.
SUNDAY BREAKFASTS WILL RESUME ON AUG. 20
Allow me to brag. We have the best Sunday refreshments in the Archdiocese. A wonderful team of volunteers prepare a very nice breakfast in Ross Hall after 9:30 a.m. Mass and it has proven very popular with the parish. We need a volunteer to coordinate this, someone to manage the signups (online) and to help recruit more volunteers to cook and serve. If you are interested, please talk with Sharon in the parish office.
DON'T FORGET FATHER RODRIGO'S PARTY, THIS SUNDAY, AUG. 13, AT 2PM
The Bellagio at 2 p.m. will be the place to be this Sunday afternoon. We'll have a dinner, refreshing drinks, and, of course, Father Rodrigo will be happy to give you a blessing.
