I am trying to put together a team for volunteers to help with Children's liturgy on Sunday mornings. If you are interested, join me on Monday, Sept. 23 at 6:30 pm in Ross Hall. If we can attract a good number of people, we could offer children's liturgy for two different age groups. Children's liturgy has been offered here at St. Eugene before, and it was much appreciated. Kids like it because it allows them to move during the Mass and do activities suited for their age level. Parents like it because it gives them the opportunity to listen to the Word of God. Volunteering for this would be a great way to give back to the parish. Please consider attending the information session.
ATTENTION: EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS AND WOULD BE EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS!
The Archbishop commissions Eucharistic ministers every autumn. The commissioning is set for Christ the King Sunday. In order to be commissioned, or to continue you current commission, we must ask you to attend one of the training sessions. EVEN if you are currently serving as an EM, please attend one of the training sessions; there is important information that we need to share with you. The training sessions dates and times can be found in the bulletin. If you are unable to attend any of the training sessions, we will work with you privately if necessary. St. Eugene is a parish that appreciates what is referred to as the "fullness of the sign", meaning distribution of both the Body and the Blood of Jesus during the Eucharist. In order to make this possible, we need a good number of people trained and commissioned.
BUY A BRICK FOR OUR MARIAN GARDEN AND SHRINE!
For $150, you can a brick and have a name inscribed on it and have it placed in the new Marian garden and shrine we are going to building. You can pay in one installment or in three installments, if necessary. There is room for up to 18 characters on a brick (a space counts as a character). For example, my brick will read Fr Jim Goins, and use 12 characters. The proceeds from the brick sales will go toward the cost of building this beautiful new addition to our gardens.
