Saturday, August 12 at 10 am, Deacon Rodrigo will be ordained to the priesthood at Our Lady’s Cathedral here in OKC! Everyone is invited to attend the ordination. Because he has served here at St. Eugene for several months as a transitional deacon, I hope we have a big crowd of St. Eugene people attend the Ordination.

On Sunday, August 13, he will celebrate the 9:30 am English Mass and the noon Spanish Mass. Following the Spanish Mass, we will continue the celebration down the street at Bellagio event center. Dinner will be served at 3pm. There is no charge for the dinner. If you would, bring a bottle or two of wine or some beer to the reception. That will save us money.

NEEDED: MORE COMMUNION MINISTERS

We are in need of many more communion ministers for our Masses. I know that the reception of the consecrated cup, the Blood of Jesus, is very important to our community. However, if we don’t have enough commissioned ministers, it’s impossible to promise it at every Mass. Contact the office if you would be interested in serving. We’ll train you and the Archbishop will commission you.

AUGUST IS A MARIAN MONTH

On August 15, Feast of the Assumption of Mary, we will have a School Mass at 8:15 am; a Noon Mass in English, and a Spanish Mass at 6:30 pm.

A beautiful prayer I would encourage you to pray during August is the Memorare.
