Children's Liturgy

During Mass, after the Opening Prayer, children ages 4 - Grade 1 are called forward to receive a special blessing and then sent with a Catechist to "Break Open the Word" on their learning level. They return to the church after the homily. 

Lots of Catechists are needed to offer this at all the Masses. It is an amazing ministry worth investigating! 

Catechists serve once a month in pairs, reading the Sunday Readings from the Children's Lectionary with an interactive reflection on the readings.
