SUMMER ADULT ED SERIES: THE NON NEGOTIABLES OF CATHOLIC LIFE
Beginning on July 10, at 6:30 p.m., in the parish hall, we’ll offer a five-week series on the essentials of Catholic Life (beliefs we must hold in order to be a Catholic in good standing). I’m going to begin on the 10th with a presentation/discussion on the Catholic understanding of Jesus as Lord and Savior. You are encouraged to bring a Bible with you. Food trucks will be available starting at 5:00 p.m. before the presentation begins. Limited spaces available for free childcare at KidCare Collective, for information or to register, please click the link in the e-pistle or call the parish office. Invite a non-Catholic friend to join you, or perhaps a fallen away Catholic.
FOURTH OF JULY BEST WISHES!
We are so blessed to live in a country like ours. The more I travel, the more grateful I feel to be an American. Ours is one of the few countries to enshrine the right to free speech and the right to exercise one’s religion (even a country as venerable as the United Kingdom does not do so). America is unique and worth celebrating. On the fourth, Catholics are called to offer prayers for the well being of our country. May your fourth of July celebration be joyous!
NEW PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT
New equipment for our school playground is going to be installed shortly. Thanks to the hard work of Mrs. Goldsworthy, our principal, and to the generosity of the kids of the parish who have given their change to Pennies for Playgrounds, this project is coming at last to fruition.
