Advent is a liturgical season well suited for a personal revival of one’s faith. I’d like to suggest a few ideas for spiritual growth.
First, use your Hallow app,or the USCCB website, to read the readings for each day of Advent. Remember that reading scripture is 1.) a good way to encounter Jesus, and 2.) is an occasion for the forgiveness of venial sin.
Second, consider attending daily Mass during Advent. Daily Masses are quiet, brief, and soul enriching.
Third, how long has it been since you made a good confession? Advent is a good time to do that! (Be sure and do an examination of conscience before you enter the confessional.)
Fourth, do small but significant acts of charity throughout the weeks of Advent. Give of your surplus wealth to the poor in honor of the Christ child.
OUR CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
We need more people to make a five year pledge to our capital campaign! I would be more than happy to sit down with you and explain our plans.
An Early Childhood Development Center will strengthen our school, our parish. Building one will also enable us to reclaim space from the school, space we need for parish activities.
