Capital Campaign Update 

As you know, we’ve asked for two hundred new pledges for our campaign. Since announcing that, we have received thirty four new pledges totaling approximately $147,000 (an average of just under $4,000. Thus, as you can tell, we have a ways to go. We need $6,000,000 to break ground and have collected approximately $5,200,000 in pledges. Please prayerfully consider a pledge of $6,000 or at least $3,000. Or, consider extending your current pledge for three more years. 

The new Early Childhood Center will help our parish grow; help us fund our school; free up much needed space for non school ministry. It’s going to be an enormous blessing. You will be proud to say you were part of it.

 PARENTAL CHOICE TAX CREDIT MEETINGS 

The State of Oklahoma has created a new tax credit for families to use for the payment of private education. It promises to make private schools more affordable. We are offering two meetings for school parents (or would be school parents) about the tax credits on Sunday, November 12 at 3 p.m. and Wednesday, November 15 at 8 a.m.

We will explain in detail how this will work at St. Eugene School. It’s very important that school parents attend one of these meetings. The tax credits will be a blessing for many parents; they also mean we must create a process by which parents can find the resources available (from the state, the Catholic Foundation, and the parish) to bring the cost of private education down to a manageable expense.

PARISH PENANCE SERVICE ON DECEMBER 5

Advent is just around the corner. As always, we will offer a penance service to help prepare spiritually for Christmas. On Dec. 5 at 6:30 p.m., ten priests will be available to hear your confessions. Avoid the long lines on Saturdays and come to this service!
