On July 18, following the 5:30 pm Mass, we will have a family night here in the church and outside of the church. Father Jerome will lead a family friendly adoration period (he’ll teach the kids about adoration and they will join in adoration). Afterward, there will be a Food Truck behind the church in the shade. Everyone is welcomed to attend!
OUR LONG AWAITED CHAIRS HAVE ARRIVED!
After what seemed like forever, the chairs we ordered have arrived. I think you will be very pleased with the new chairs. They will make Ross Hall look much cleaner. I want to thank all who donated to this project. You were very generous.
A NOTE OF PARISH FINANCES
We have a very tight budget, folks. We’re not broke, and we do have some monies in reserve, but it would not take long for us to get into a financial bind. Please continue to give throughout the summer. I don’t mind worrying about your souls; that’s why I am here, actually. However, I hate, hate, hate, being forced to worry about money. The sewer line project is a great example of why we need robust giving and a cushion of cash on which to draw. After the project is complete, it would be nice to be able to replace that cash. We have a big complex, and much of it is aging, so money in reserve for maintenance and repair is very important. If you haven’t signed up for Faith Direct, know that it’s easy and a blessing for us.
TEN BUCK SUNDAY IS THIS SUNDAY
Did you know that we’ve collected over $40,000 in Ten Buck Sunday Collections? That’s a major gift in and of itself to the Early Childhood Center. Remember, every dollar given to the Ten Buck Sunday collection goes to the campaign. If you don’t have cash, you can use the dip jar or you can schedule your gift on Faith Direct.
