Looking for a Team

LOOKING FOR A TEAM!
I am looking for six to ten people that will be willing to help coordinate and staff children’s liturgy of the Word. Ideally, I would like for us to offer this at the 9:30 a.m. Mass and the Noon Mass. We have been blessed with so many young families, and so many wonderful children, I think it’s important that kids be allowed to move during the Mass, and hear the word preached for them. 

Children’s liturgy also helps parents relax during the liturgy of the Word and listen and be fed spiritually. We have been offered a grant that would pay for all the materials needed for this. Of course, the difficult part will be finding volunteers.

If I can find enough volunteers, it would not fall to the same two or three people every week.

YES, WE HAVE ADDED SEATING
I hope you noticed that we have new seating in the church, extensions on some of the pews. This has added 70 new seats to our capacity. It is my hope that no one need stand during the mass. Of course, this will be mostly used by the 9:30 AM crowd and the noon crowd. However, it will come in very handy at Christmas and at Easter, and for confirmation masses.

This has been made possible by your generous collections month in and month out. I want to thank the many who gives so generously to our parish and to assure you that we use your money wisely.

MARIAN SHRINE
Remember, all the money you donate during the masses for the Feast of the Assumption, August 15, a holy day of obligation, will be put toward the building of a beautiful Marian shrine on our expansive east lawn. I think when you see the renderings, you will fall in love with it. The design matches our existing architecture and future generations will, I think, assume it was built at the same time as the church.
